Un documentario diretto da Gianni De Blasi. Con la partecipazione di Emir Kusturica, Hidetoshi Nagasawa.

In a small village in the south of Italy, people celebrate St. Anthony from January 11 to January 18. A 25-meter pyre made of vine branches is erected in the name of the saint; on January 16 the pyre is set on fire. This tradition has become an international event, during which thousands of people gather to build the pyre and to be part of this ancient rite. Adding their voices to those of the locals, Hidetoshi Nagasawa (called in to design and shape Focara 2014) and Emir Kusturica (called in to contribute his vision and experience of popular culture) give an outsider’s perspective of the celebration, as viewed from their vantage point.
